My Take

Gotta

order:

Crawfish and shrimp beignets

Vibes:

Formal, a little antiquated, business-y

Notes:

The Warehouse is situated towards the bottom of King Street in Old Town Alexandria, but surprisingly I don’t feel like it picks up the buzzy energy of the area that a lot of the restaurants do. The Warehouse definitely feels a little more upscale with their white tablecloths and top-notch service, but unfortunately I feel like this restaurant lacks atmosphere. I know it’s a popular spot for business lunches, and think that’s the exact situation for which it should be paid a visit.

I have to admit, I am not the biggest fan of Southern food, especially Southern Seafood, so the Warehouse’s menu isn’t exactly my cup of tea. With this in mind, I still find The Warehouse to be consistently ‘good.’ For my seafood loving fam, the Warehouse is a decadent and delicious meal, and after trying some of their dishes, I can understand appreciate the high quality cooking. For myself, I think ‘good’ is the only word I would stick to their food- nothing more, nothing less.
