This unassuming strip-mall establishment is easily passed by if you find yourself driving through the Culmore area of Falls Church. However, this renowned Chinese restaurant was a favorite amongst both President Bushes and has been a frequent spot of diplomats, dignitaries, and celebrities throughout the year- need proof? Just take a look at the walls- they’re lined with pictures of famous guests. The massive interior is a bit old school, but fits with the reputation of being a Chinese food establishment. 

As the name and logo imply, Peking Gourmet is famous for their Peking-style duck that’s carved table side. While the prices have climbed throughout the years, it remains a must-order. All of their other classic Chinese food dishes are great- they’re much higher quality than your typical takeout restaurant, and not overly sauced or sweetened. Portions in general tend to be big at Peking Gourmet, so expect to take home some leftovers.
