My Take

Gotta

order:

Scallops, French onion soup

Vibes:

intimate, cozy, warm, dim lit, transports you to a french cafe

Notes:

I watched Ratatouille the same day I went to dinner at Le Refuge (don’t judge- great movie), and felt as if Le Refuge was a copy/paste for some of the Parisian scenes from the movie. The interior is decorated wall-to-wall with French memorabilia and old-timey decor, giving it a somewhat antiquated but charming feel. It’s the perfect place for a cozy date night or dinner with the family, especially if you’re going to split a bottle of wine over some excellent French food.

They have a pretty wide range of items on their menu, but I’m a sucker for scallops and always seem to forget how good they are. The menu isn’t anything flashy or unique, but Le Refuge offers all the French classics, and they’re executed extremely well. It’s the perfect spot for consistently great French food in a charming atmosphere.
