order:

Mussels, French onion soup, Ratatouille

Vibes:

Dim lit, antique meets modern, buzzing, cozy, vibrant, elegant

Notes:

Josephine is a great restaurant to go for just about any occasion. One of my favorite things about this spot is that they do weekly wine tasting classes on Wednesdays for $50 a person, each featuring a different region or type of wine. I did one of these classes and then had a late night dinner at the restaurant right after, and had an absolute blast. The restaurant itself has several floors of seating and perfectly marries and old-timey antique, almost ‘Titanic’ feel with a the modern and upscale feel. The restaurant is also always crowded, even on weeknights, so it’s always a fun, energetic spot for dinner!

The food itself is solid- it’s a traditional French menu and is very well done. I had their pot of mussels last time I went and really enjoyed dipping their house bread in the sauce- everyone at my table was passing around my broth to do the same! Josephine is a great place for anything from date night to dinner out with the girls.
