Gypsy Kitchen is definitely under-rated in my books. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant’s upscale but warm vibe and exceptional Mediterranean assortment of shareables and bigger dishes. It’s a great place for dinner with friends or a double date, so you can share a selection of options. My one note about Gypsy Kitchen is that we felt a little rushed through our meal, which was a bummer. Our waiter came around every few minutes to ask if we were ready to order, and also asked if we were done with our hummus multiple times while still having half the bowl left.
I went to Gypsy Kitchen with a few other people, so we shared a lot of their small plates and one larger plate. Their hummus was top tier, and pita was extremely fluffy, just how I like it. However, I will say that they definitely did not give us enough pita for the amount of hummus we had, so we had to order extra. The cauliflower was a must-order, and mussels were good, especially for how many we got in our order. We also got the chicken, which came with a lot of accompaniments, which really elevated the dish, but was hard to share with others.
