My Take

Gotta

order:

Patatas bravas, sangria pitcher, ham and manchego croquettes

Vibes:

High energy, loud music, packed, vibrant, buzzing, great place to eat before going out or to grab a drink o two

Notes:

When I first went to Barcelona Wine Bar, I didn’t quite have a good grasp for the vibe, so I’m glad it happened to be on a night I was going out right after. Barcelona wine bar is incredibly high energy, so I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a cozy date night, but is great if you’re grabbing a few drinks or going out after. Chances are good even if you make a reservation you’ll wait for a little bit in the crowded bar area, but it’s a fun atmosphere so I never particularly mind. In true Spanish tapas form, everything revolves around the small plates style, so it’s a great spot for a group outing. I’d recommend getting a pitcher or two of Sangria- it goes down quick! Their food is solid. They do traditional Spanish tapas and they do them well. They also rotate some of their options depending on what season it is, so it’ll be a different experience depending on when you go. Their menu is also massive, so it’s an easy spot to repeat a few times.
