Albi was an amazing meal that offered unique flavors and foods different from most restaurants in the area. They are a Levantine restaurant- a region on the Eastern side of the Mediterranean, so their flavors are reminiscent of your ‘traditional’ Mediterranean cuisine, but with unique twists. Albi is a Michelin-starred restaurant that takes a shareable format, so is a great option for group dining. It runs on the pricier end, and can be difficult to snag a reservation, so plan accordingly.
In terms of picking what to order, you can’t go wrong, but there are definitely a few things to be aware of. Their pita is really the star of the show in terms of smaller plates (and probably your best bang for your buck too). The pita is pillowy and perfectly seasoned- it comes one per dip, and this is the first time I feel like a restaurant had the perfect pita-to-dip ratio. I would definitely go heavy on the dips. The ‘snacks’ section were good, but were literally two bites, so I think those are skippable.
Word to the wise- order anything on a shish kebob. The menu rotates, so we got the duck breast shish, and it was so flavorful- we thought about ordering a second. We added on their fried rice side at the end, but are glad we did. It’s extremely filling and is a nice go-with to some of the mains, particularly the saucier ones. We were gifted two soft-serves at the end, and they were very unique flavors, particularly one with sea salt added, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to order those again.
