My Take

Gotta

order:

Polenta cakes, cauliflower, seasonal risotto

Vibes:

Modern, energetic, buzzy, clean, aesthetic, upscale, cozy

Notes:

Wildseed is the perfect spot for anyone looking for generally healthier, but interesting and delicious eats. This quintessential Californian-fare restaurant serves plant-based dishes, but in the way that makes you totally forget that the meat is missing. Wildseed uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients, putting them to use in interesting and creative ways. Their cocktails take the same approach and incorporate untraditional ingredients like basil shrub, black sesame coconut cream, celery, and pea infused gin. The restaurant itself is the type of cozy and inviting, yet modern and chic spot you would expect out of a trendy plant-based Californian restaurant.

Food-wise, Wildseed serves an assortment of snacks and apps, pizzas, and bowls, with a few select ‘other’ entrees. The first time I went, my fam loaded up on apps and found them a lot more intriguing and tasty than the entrees that came out. I have had an excellent spring vegetable risotto as a main, so I think it can be a bit hit or miss for the bigger plates. However, their smaller plates and apps are always spot-on.
