My Take

Gotta

order:

Fried brussels sprouts

Vibes:

Vibrant, energetic, loud, cozy, inviting, fun, rustic

Notes:

This lively spot on the bottom of King Street in Old Town, Alexandria picks up a great atmosphere by nature of its location. It’s situated near the water, which adds to the charm of the otherwise industrial-chic interior. The restaurant is huge with two floors, and reservations are usually pretty available. While I wouldn’t say Virtue is the BEST spot for any one occasion, I will recommend it for just about every occasion because it’s so generally solid that it works well for just about any situation.

In a similar vein to its broad applicability for occasions- their menu is also quite broad. I wouldn’t say any one thing is particularly exceptional at Virtue, but everything is good, and they always have interesting specials. I typically go for their salads.

Overall, Virtue is a solid spot with good food fit for just about any occasion.
