We’re not even halfway into 2024, and I’ve already realized I need an update to my Top 10 DC Eats list- I’ve been eating THAT GOOD as of late. Some of my new favorite DC restaurants have been discovered in the past few months, and I want to make sure they are properly recognized here!
Supra is a Georgian restaurant, so its menu has a lot of unique items. All of their bread items are fluffy and delicious, particularly their “Georgian Cheese Boat.”
China Chilcano’s menu, being Asian-Peruvian fusion, is very unique and marries the two cuisines perfectly. They combine flavors perfectly and have great cocktails to go with.
Il Canale serves Neapolitan pizza in a lively Georgetown spot perfect for dinner and drinks after work. Their crust is extremely fluffy- as it should be.
Gypsy Kitchen is a small plates and shareables restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, flavor-packed dishes, and fluffy pita.
San Lorenzo is well-executed upscale Italian in a cozy and inviting restaurant. They offer a tasting menu that highlights all their best dishes.
Zaytinya makes traditional Mediterranean food unique with their spices and unique flavor pairings. Their small plate format allows you to try a little
Rasika has rock-solid Indian food bursting with flavor. They think through spices and texture incredibly well in every dish. Pro tip- try their crispy spinach!
Albi is a Michelin-Starred Levantine restaurant with some of the most flavor-packed dishes I’ve had in the area. Bonus points for how fluffy their pita is.

L’Ardente’s 40-layer Lasagna is the single best dish I’ve had in 2024. So good I made a second reservation before I got my check.
