Ingredients

  • 1 lb of Kale
  • 3 tbs nutritional yeast (plus more for sprinkling)
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Flakey sea salt for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 275 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • De-stem your kale and rip into chip-sized pieces. Be careful with how small you go because they will shrink in the oven. Put all kale pieces in a large bowl.
  • Add olive oil, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and onion powder to the bowl with the kale. Mix together with your hands.
  • Add kale to baking sheet in an even layer- do not overlap them (you may need to bake in a couple batches). Sprinkle with flakey sea salt and more nutritional yeast as you please.
  • Bake for 10 to 20 minutes. They will likely take closer to 20 minutes, but check after 10, especially if your kale chip pieces are on the smaller side.
  • Let cool completely and store in an airtight container.
